Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO): Be understood by the machines that answer your customers.
Growth
What is answer engine optimisation (AEO)?
Answer engine optimisation (AEO) is structuring a website’s content and data so that search features and AI-powered answer experiences — such as AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and voice assistants — can accurately understand what a business does and use it when answering relevant questions. It builds on SEO with direct answers, clear entity information, structured data and evidence of expertise.
More of your customers now ask a question and read an answer, instead of scanning ten blue links. Nobody can guarantee an AI will mention you. What you can do is make your expertise unambiguous: direct answers, consistent facts about your business, and content that deserves to be cited.

Problems we solve
AI tools describe you vaguely — or not at all
Inconsistent or missing information about your services, locations and expertise makes you hard to summarise.
Your content buries the answer
Long introductions and marketing language hide what people asked. Answer engines prefer clear, direct statements.
Structured data is missing or wrong
Accurate Organization, Service, Article and FAQ markup helps machines connect the facts — but only when it matches the page.
No one is measuring it
We track the signals that can be measured reliably and are honest about the ones that cannot.
What’s included
What we deliver
Pick what you need, or let us recommend a scope after a short discovery call.
Question research
The real questions prospects ask — from sales calls, support inboxes, search data and forums.
Answer-first content
Pages and sections that state the answer plainly, then support it with detail and evidence.
Entity & topic optimisation
Consistent naming of your business, people, services and locations across your site and profiles.
Structured data
Valid JSON-LD for organisation, services, articles and breadcrumbs, always matching what is visible on the page. Google needs no special “AI” markup — accuracy matters more than volume.
Crawlability & indexability
Fast, server-rendered, accessible pages that crawlers — including AI crawlers you choose to allow — can read.
Authority & evidence
Author information, case studies, credentials and sources that show real expertise.
Visibility monitoring
Search Console data (which counts AI Overviews and AI Mode traffic within Web search), search features and sampled AI answers for priority questions — reported with clear caveats.
Platforms & tools we typically use
- Schema.org / JSON-LD
- Google Search Console
- Rich Results Test
- Bing Webmaster Tools
- llms.txt (optional)
- Google Business Profile
How it works
From first call to results
Step 1: Entity audit
How search engines and AI assistants currently describe you, and where the facts conflict.
Step 2: Question map
Priority questions mapped to the pages that should answer them.
Step 3: Restructure & mark up
Content rewritten answer-first, structured data added and validated.
Step 4: Monitor & expand
Track visibility and extend coverage to the next set of questions.

Questions we’re often asked

What is the difference between SEO and AEO?
SEO aims to rank pages in search results. AEO aims to have your information selected and cited when a search engine or AI assistant answers a question directly. They share foundations — crawlable pages, quality content, authority — but AEO puts more weight on direct answers, structured data and consistent facts about your business.
Can you guarantee we will appear in ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?
No. Those systems decide what to show, and their behaviour changes often. We improve the clarity, accuracy and authority of your content, which makes you a stronger candidate, and we monitor what we can measure.
Do we still need SEO if we invest in AEO?
Yes. Most answer experiences draw on content that search engines can already crawl and trust, so SEO is the foundation AEO is built on.
Is FAQ schema still useful?
Google stopped showing FAQ rich results for all sites in May 2026, so FAQ markup no longer changes how you look in Google. The markup is still valid and harmless, and other search engines and AI tools can read it, so we keep it where it accurately describes questions that are visible on the page — never as a trick.
